GNSSLiveAT

A Real-Time GNSS Signal Quality Map for Enhanced Navigation Services

Aims

The GNSSLiveAT initiative aims to develop a real-time GNSS signal quality map for Austria, improving reliability and detecting interference in satellite navigation services. The project seeks to provide actionable insights for users and stakeholders, supporting sectors such as mobility, public safety, and critical infrastructure while contributing to Austria’s green and digital transformation goals.

Brief Description

GNSSLiveAT will leverage existing infrastructure to deliver three main services: real-time GNSS signal degradation monitoring, identification of interference sources, and immediate disruption warnings. The 12-month feasibility study will include technical and non-technical evaluations, user analysis, system architecture design, and a business plan. Consortium members and potential users (e.g., Geosphere Austria, EPOSA, ASFINAG, ÖBB) will contribute expertise and data. The project aligns with national and European strategies, fostering innovation, economic growth, and trust in GNSS services.
