XPLORA One in vehicle testing (16.04.2025)
XPLORA One, our cost-effective GNSS signal simulator, was used for testing a Level 2 autonomous electric vehicle. Since Level 2 autonomous vehicles rely on multiple sensors beyond GNSS, realistic signal generation is key to testing how these systems react in real-world conditions.
XPLORA One was integrated into the full test setup to simulate different navigation scenarios for a Level 2 autonomous vehicle, ensuring precise and repeatable GNSS conditions for testing. Thereby the vehicle’s response under controlled conditions could be evaluated. XPLORA One delivered the precision and reliability needed to effectively evaluate the vehicle’s autonomous driving performance!

Project CityCLIM successfully completed (17.02.2025)
After a duration of three years, the CityCLIM project (Next Generation City Climate Services Using Advanced Weather Models and Emerging Data Sources) has been completed.
In a time increasingly defined by climate change and rapid urban development, cities are facing growing challenges that significantly affect the health and well-being of their residents. Record-breaking temperatures, deteriorating air quality, and the intricate dynamics of wind patterns and humidity have become pressing issues for both policymakers and citizens. These challenges are further intensified by the urban heat island (UHI) effect, which is driven by urbanisation.
The project has resulted in various weather and climate services that can help cities to better deal with the consequences of climate change specifically urban heat islands.

New R&D Project FaGO (09.01.2025)
We are proud to announce the launch of the project FaGO, an ESA NAVISP research and development initiative that aims to assess the utilization of Factor Graph Optimization (FGO) for GNSS-based PNT determination.
Factor Graph Optimization (FGO) is an advanced algorithmic framework, originally developed in robotics, that processes inputs from multiple sensors to improve positioning and navigation accuracy. By optimizing complex data relationships, FGO enables reliable and cost-effective localization—key for connected and automated systems.
FaGO (Factor Graph Optimization for GNSS-based PNT determination) aims to address the challenges of vehicle positioning, self-localization, and path planning in dynamic environments.
